Fees and Rebates
While we aim to keep our costs as low as possible, The Burrows Psychology is not a bulk-billed practice. Therefore, fees are payable for clinical services, as outlined below.
Consultancy and Speaking fees will be agreed dependent on the individual engagement. Please contact us to discuss your needs further.
Therapy
The 2026 fee for a 50-minute one-on-one Therapy session with a Psychologist is $240.
Fees for additional services or report writing will be charged, pro-rata, based on the time taken.
The Australian Psychological Society recommends that a psychologist's hourly rate (2025/26) is $318. The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc recommends an hourly rate of $330.
Kirsten is passionate about the accessibility of psychological services, keeping her rate considerably lower than the recommended rates outlined above.
Fees for Group Therapy will be advised at the time of advertising.
All fees for therapy are payable on the day of service. Medicare rebates may be
available for therapy, see below.

Neurodevelopmental Assessment
Please note: Autism assessments for the purposes of NDIS applications are currently paused.
The following prices are guidelines only for Neurodevelopmental Assessment undertaken by a Psychologist. The full cost of your assessment will be confirmed after your first screening session. If you no longer wish to proceed, no further costs will be payable.
Kirsten uses affirming tools such as the MIGDAS-2 and DIVA-5 to understand you, and your experience of the world. Assessments are client-centred and sensory led, to ensure that you remain comfortable at all times.
A deposit of $500 is required if you decide to proceed with the full assessment, with the balance payable upon the date of your feedback session/release of your report.
A Note on the NDIS
Please note, that although all Psychologists trained in Autism assessment are qualified to assess Autism, the NDIS requires that formal sign-off is made by a Paediatrician, Psychiatrist, or a Clinical Psychologist for a single clinician diagnosis. Therefore if you require a report for the purposes of application to the NDIS, further cost of counter-signing by a relevant clinician listed above may apply.
